Collaborative Law

In the Collaborative Divorce process each partner has their own collaborative lawyer and they are supported by a team of neutrals of their choice that is specific to the needs of the couple, such as a financial neutral, a facilitator, a child specialist, and sometimes a real estate professional. The focus of Collaborative Practice is to develop effective relationships, solve problems jointly through compromise and discussion, and to prevent a court battle. This approach is especially important in family law cases where children are involved and the parties want to communicate with each other in a respectful and healthy manner.

Attorney Runge is the former Co-Chair of the Charles River Practice Group of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council and a member of MCLC. She participates in the North Shore Collaborative Divorce collective of collaborative attorneys and neutral professionals.
